The record date for determining eligible shareholders has been fixed as Friday, December 26. Since December 25 is a market holiday, the ex-bonus date will fall on December 24. Therefore, investors must complete their purchase by the end of trading hours on December 23 to be entitled to the bonus shares.
The company announced the bonus issue following a board meeting held earlier in November.
Under the terms of the bonus issue, shareholders holding fully paid-up equity shares of face value Rs 5 each as on the record date will receive one additional share for every share held.
This is the second bonus issue from Ram Ratna Wires in recent years, according to the data available on Trendlyne. The last bonus was issued in September 2022, also in a 1:1 ratio.
With the ex-date for the current bonus issue being December 24, shares purchased on or after that date will not be eligible for the benefit. Only those who are shareholders of record by December 26, will receive the additional shares.
