Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 23.46 points to 25437.85 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Nectar Lifesc, Dreamfolks Services, Sadhana Nitro, TECIL Chemicals and Globe Civil Projects, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 21 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 29 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Kotak Bank, Eternal, Grasim Inds., BEL and NTPC were among top gainers, while Titan Company, Dr. Reddys, Trent, Cipla and Bajaj Auto traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 41.01 points down at 83401.49 at 11:07AM(IST). Traders were seen piling up positions in IT Enabled Services, General, Apparels, Tourism & Hospitality and Engineering sectors, while selling was visible in Industrial Consumables, Gems and Jewellery, Electric/Electronics, Construction and Holding Company sectors.
