With Meta's new API, sharing Facebook stories is simple.
With the release of a new API from Meta, developers can now create and share Facebook Stories directly from third-party desktop or web applications.
After adding the Stories feature to Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, Facebook released it in 2017.
This feature, which is taken from Snapchat, enables users to share short-lived image and video content that disappears from their profile.
Although Meta usually keeps the number of users for Stories a secret, CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed in 2019 that the feature had more than 500 million users.

Facebook Stories API is aimed at professionals.
The most recent Facebook Stories API attempts to serve the professional market by letting content-centric creator tools to easily integrate their online or desktop apps with Facebook Stories, which Meta refers to as a “enterprise solution.”
Sharing content to Stories from other mobile apps was previously possible, but the new API allows for seamless interaction with third-party platforms. This enables people to easily share material directly to Facebook Stories, making the process easier for creators and companies.

Facebook Stories API enables one-button sharing.

The Facebook Stories API allows developers to include a single one-click share function within their app, making it easier for users to share.

Adobe, Canva, and Picsart, for example, offer tools specifically designed for generating Facebook Stories, such as image editors, themes, and other configurable options.

Previously, users had to manually download their article and re-upload it to Facebook. With the new API, app developers can easily add Facebook Login authentication for end-users to provide a access to their accounts.
