Top 10 BSE 500 gainers
The top spot went to Dilip Buildcon which closed with 18% gains. It was followed by NLC India, Hindustan Copper, Intellect Design Arena, Sobha, Samvardhana Motherson International, Gujarat Fluorochemicals and Avanti Feeds, with weekly returns between 15% and 10%.
Adani Energy Solutions (9.8%) and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders (9.6%) missed the double-digit mark by a whisker.
Top 10 BSE 500 losers
In the BSE 500 pack, 170 stocks closed with declines and the highest fall was seen in Godfrey Phillips India (9%). Meanwhile, Godfrey Phillips India, Nuvoco Vistas Corporation, Star Cement, Trent, Rallis India, Metropolis Healthcare, Balrampur Chini Mills, HLE Glascoat and Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals fell between 8% and 5%.

Sectoral winners and losers
Sectoral toppers were BSE Capital Goods and BSE Information Technology, each gaining 4.2%. Other major indices like BSE Auto, BSE Metal, BSE Financial Services, BSE Oil & Gas and BSE Healthcare and BSE Realty between 1.9% and 1%.The only loser in the pack was Bse Consumer Durables at 1.2% decline.
Broader markets saw strong action with BSE Midcap Select and BSE Smallcap Select ending over 2% higher on the weekly basis.
The BSE Sensex settled with gains of 1.5%. In the 30-stock index, 24 closed positive with Bharat Electronics (8%), Bajaj Finance (7%) and Infosys (6%), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ, 5%) and Axis Bank (5%) were top 5 gainers.
The losers were Asian Paints, Ultratech Cement, Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Eternal, Titan Company and Trent which fell up to 7%.
