Users can now add podcasts to YouTube Music using RSS feeds.
YouTube Music is stepping up its game by adding the ability to add podcasts using RSS feeds, in preparation for the closure of Google’s Podcasts app early next year.
According to Podnews, the feature is now being released for Android and the web.
Podcasters are need to upload video versions of their episodes in order to use YouTube Music’s current podcast function, a step that many find too laborious.
Users may now add their favorite podcast episodes to their libraries more easily thanks to the new facility.

How to use YouTube Music to add podcasts
In YouTube Music, users can go to the Library tab and choose the Podcasts filter from the top carousel. There will be a new floating action button (FAB) labeled “Add podcast” in the bottom-right corner.
A show will join other podcasts in the user’s library after its RSS feed has been entered.
It is anticipated that this intuitive tool will greatly assist people in switching from Google Podcasts to YouTube Music.

Future modifications and the migration tool
Google Podcasts is going to shut down at some point in 2024. Prior to it, Google made a promise regarding  “simple migration tool” that would assist users in moving their current YouTube Music subscriptions from Google Podcasts.
YouTube will soon allow RSS uploads for podcast creators rather than requiring video versions.
