The Election Commission declares the dates of the J&K and Haryana assembly elections.
The timetable for the assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir has been released by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Elections in J&K will take place in three stages, according to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar: the first will take place on September 18, the second on September 25, and the third on October 1.
Voting in Haryana is scheduled for October 1.
On October 4, the votes for J&K and Haryana will be tallied.

Individuals in J&K need to be essential for change: Kumar
During the declaration, Kumar lauded how the Lok Sabha political race was held in J&K, calling it a victory of “voting form over shot.”
Kumar stressed that the political race saw a record turnout of 58.58%.

The ECI had started arrangements for these races back in June by refreshing the discretionary rolls.
The conditions of the ongoing regulative gathering in Haryana will end on November 3.

For J&K’s situation, the ECI had recently expressed that Gathering decisions in the UT will be directed following the delimitation of voting demographics.

Jammu and Kashmir Gathering surveys to follow delimitation
J&K has been under focal rule since June 19, 2018, following the breakdown of an alliance government headed by Individuals’ Progressive faction after collusion accomplice Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) pulled out help for the alliance government.
In December last year, the High Court had coordinated the ECI to hold races by September 30.
