NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Wednesday’s trade on Dalal Street as benchmark Sensex traded 8.04 points up at 81591.34 level on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among these top gainers were Mayur Leather(up 9.99%), Aban Offshore(up 9.99%), Mansi Finance(up 9.99%), Indiabulls Enterprises(up 9.96%), India Finsec(up 9.85%), Excel Realty N Infra(up 9.30%), Pradhin Ltd.(up 8.82%), Aarnav Fashions(up 8.81%), Soma Textiles(up 8.48%) and Zydus Wellness(up 8.47%).
In the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers included IndusInd Bank(up 4.56%), Trent(up 1.92%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.58%), M&M(up 1.45%) and Eicher Motors(up 1.35%).
The Nifty 50 index was trading 21.5 points higher at 24874.9.
Among the 50 components in the Nifty pack, 28 shares traded in the green, while 22 traded in the red.
