Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Zodiac Clothing(20.00%), Sportking India(19.99%), Madhav Infra Proj(19.94%), Arihant Tourne(19.79%), Krystal Integrated(18.78%), Bonlon Industries(18.69%), Victoria Mills(18.47%), Prismx Global Ventures(16.00%) and United Interactive(15.55%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 259.75 points up at 80501.99, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 12.5 points up at 24346.7.
In the Nifty50 index, 17 stocks closed in the green, while 33 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Force Motors, Parsharti Invst, Ind Link Chain, Desh Rakshak and Bio Green Paper hit their fresh 52-week high, while G V Films, M K Exim India, Standard Cap, Bodhi Tree Multimedia and Maha Corp Ltd touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
