The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1281.68 points down at 81148.22, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 346.36 points down at 24578.35.
In the Nifty50 index, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Parmeshwari Silk, Stampede Cap(DVR), NDA Securities, Suven Life Sci and Vishal Mega Mart hit their fresh 52-week high, while G V Films, Chembond Chem, Career Point, Sybly Ind and Fruition Venture touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
