NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Teesta Agro Industries Ltd.(19.99%) and Panth Infinity(18.63%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 572.07 points down at 80891.02, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 156.1 points down at 24680.9.
In the Nifty50 index, 16 stocks closed in the green, while 34 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Teesta Agro Industries Ltd., Panth Infinity, Vimta Labs, Times Guaranty and Sudarshan Chemical hit their fresh 52-week high, while Trans Freight, JITF Infralogistics, Pankaj Piyush, Kkrrafton Developers and Rapid Invst touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
