The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 239.31 points down at 81312.32, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 73.75 points down at 24752.45.
In the Nifty50 index, 14 stocks closed in the green, while 36 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Apollo Micro Systems, Amit Securities, ASM Tech, Intelligent Supply and GSK Pharma hit their fresh 52-week high, while Hindusthan Urban Inf, Shri Keshav Cem, Tantia Const, Orchid Pharma and Pulsar International touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
