NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 105.71 points up at 80746.78 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, G V Films(down 18.75 per cent), Golkonda Aluminium (down 17.34 per cent), Paragon Finance(down 14.58 per cent), Aryan Shares & Stock(down 14.47 per cent) and Prima Agro(down 12.02 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 34.81 points up at 24414.4.
On the BSE, G V Films, Golkonda Aluminium, NRB Industrial, Indian Info Sof and Ind-Swift Labs hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Stampede Cap(DVR), Atharv Enterprises, SER Industries Ltd., Bio Green Paper and Reliance Naval & Engg touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
