NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 455.37 points up at 82176.45 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Sai Swami Metals and(down 19.70 per cent), Aztec Fluids & Machi(down 18.63 per cent), WPIL Ltd(down 13.79 per cent), Chandra Bhagat Pharm(down 12.72 per cent) and Cosmic CRF(down 12.59 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 38 stocks closed in the green, while 12 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 148.0 points up at 25001.15.
On the BSE, Career Point, BDH Industries, Nutricircle, SKIL Infrastructure and CMI Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Khaitan(India), Frontier Spring, Amit Securities, Camlin Fine Sc and TAAL Enterprises touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
