NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1281.68 points down at 81148.22 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Supershakti Metaliks(down 20.00 per cent), Mayank Cattle Food(down 12.95 per cent), Khandelwal Extr(down 11.33 per cent), KG Petrochem(down 10.82 per cent) and Bothra Metals(down 9.98 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.

In the Nifty pack, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 346.36 points down at 24578.35.

On the BSE, G V Films, Chembond Chem, Career Point, Sybly Ind and Fruition Venture hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Parmeshwari Silk, Stampede Cap(DVR), NDA Securities, Suven Life Sci and Vishal Mega Mart touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
