NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 271.17 points down at 82059.42 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Protean eGov Techno(down 19.99 per cent), Indong Tea Co(down 15.84 per cent), Superior Finlease(down 10.46 per cent), Bharat Bijlee(down 10.30 per cent) and Gretex Corporate Ser(down 9.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 31 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 74.35 points down at 24945.45.
On the BSE, Sagar Prod, Techindia Nirman, Gangotri Text, Unistar Multi and Bisil Plast hit their fresh 52-week lows, while ASM Tech, Kamadgiri Fash, Suven Life Sci, Stampede Cap(DVR)and Kanpur Plastip touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
