NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 236.36 points down at 81315.27 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Kanchi Karpooram(down 14.27 per cent), ADC India(down 10.70 per cent), Keerthi Ind(down 10.38 per cent), Simplex Realty(down 10.00 per cent) and Silver Pearl Hospitality (down 9.98 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 15 stocks traded in the green, while 35 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 67.71 points down at 24758.5.
On the BSE, Borana Weaves, Tantia Const, Pulsar International, Shri Niwas Leasing(PP)and Orchid Pharma hit their fresh 52-week lows, while ASM Tech, Autoriders Intnl, Dugar Housing Dev., Mahamaya Steel and Paramone Concepts touched their fresh 52-week highs.
