NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 269.76 points down at 80527.08 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, G V Films(down 20.00 per cent), Aryan Shares & Stock(down 14.12 per cent), Khandelwal Extr(down 13.79 per cent), Inducto Steel(down 11.78 per cent) and Ksolves India(down 9.99 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks traded in the green, while 32 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 82.96 points down at 24378.2.
On the BSE, G V Films, Goyal Associate, RS Software, Gensol Engg and K&R Rail Engineering hit their fresh 52-week lows, while SER Industries Ltd., Atharv Enterprises, Bodhtree Consult, Bio Green Paper and Dugar Housing Dev. touched their fresh 52-week highs.
