NEW DELHI: Mirch Technologies (numbers of share traded: 7.25 crore), Earum Pharmaceutical(numbers of share traded: 6.38 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 5.99 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.57 crore), Quasar India(numbers of share traded: 4.51 crore), Standard Cap(numbers of share traded: 1.87 crore), G V Films(numbers of share traded: 1.72 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.44 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.28 crore) and Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 0.88 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 265.8 points down at 24008.0, while BSE Sensex ended down 880.34 points at 79454.47.
On the other hand, ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 3.25 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.91 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 2.37 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 2.34 per cent) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.30 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
