NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 36.15 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.58 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.65 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 4.21 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 3.49 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 2.98 crore), NMDC(numbers of share traded: 2.95 crore), Filatex Fashions(numbers of share traded: 1.90 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 1.69 crore) and PNB(numbers of share traded: 1.59 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 12.5 points up at 24346.7, while BSE Sensex ended up 259.75 points at 80501.99.
On the other hand, JSW Steel Ltd.(down 5.50 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 2.41 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 2.33 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.28 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.15 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
