In a filing to the stock exchanges, the pump maker said the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) had opened its portal for a tranche of 12,451 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS), valued at about Rs 347.41 crore (inclusive of GST). The tranche was fully subscribed by farmers.
This comes after the first tranche of 10,000 pumps, worth Rs 268.88 crore, was snapped up within 1.5 hours of the portal opening in late August. With both tranches combined, Shakti Pumps has orders for 22,451 pumps worth around Rs 616.30 crore, out of the total 34,720 pumps empanelled under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM KUSUM B scheme.
Commenting on the development, Chairman Dinesh Patidar said Shakti Pumps’ long presence in Maharashtra and its execution track record position it well to deliver on the order.
The company reported a 4.5% increase year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 96.8 crore in Q1FY26, up from Rs 92.7 crore in Q1FY25. EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 143.6 crore, a 5.7% increase from Rs 135.9 crore in the same period last year, with the EBITDA margin at 23.1%.
As of August 1, 2025, the order book of the company stood at approximately Rs 1,350 crore, supported by steady inflows and active participation in tenders across states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, etc.Shakti Pumps manufactures a range of solar pumps and related equipment at its facilities in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, and supplies products to over 100 countries.On the BSE, the stock traded about 4% higher at Rs 891 around midday. Shakti Pump’s stock price is down 38% from its 52-week high of Rs 1,387.
