On Saturday, December 30, the prime minister is expected to visit the city to officially open the recently constructed airport and the renovated railway station.
In addition, Adityanath convened a review meeting to discuss the arrangements for the next month-long opening of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir.
Why is this story important?
PM Modi is scheduled to launch the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport and the renovated Ayodhya Railway Station during his visit to Ayodhya.
He will return to the temple city in Uttar Pradesh a few weeks later on January 22 for the Ram Mandir’s consecration ceremony.
In addition to special preparations being made by “mutts” and temples in Ayodhya for the prime minister, he is anticipated to take part in a roadshow on Saturday.
Adityanath examined the temple site and reviewed the arrangements for the PM’s visit.
Adityanath landed at Ayodhya on Tuesday morning as planned, arriving at Ram Katha Park about 11:30 a.m.
He then went to the Sri Hanumangarhi temple and the Sri Ram Janmobhoomi temple to offer prayers. At about midday, the chief minister also went over the preparations at the Ram Mandir temple site.
Adityanath left for Lucknow after holding a meeting with authorities involved in PM Modi’s visit arrangements on Saturday.
Prior to Modi’s arrival, security grew more stringent.
Ahead of the prime minister’s travel to Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh Police, the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and intelligence services have stepped up their vigilance on the India-Nepal border.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Akhileshwar Singh of the SSB disclosed, “The security agencies have been asked to ascertain the identities of people before allowing them to cross through the border.”
Singh claimed that in addition to cameras stationed along the main thoroughfares, a platoon of women’s wing members and dog squads had also been stationed there.

The DIG further mentioned that metal detectors have been set up at the border outposts of India and Nepal, Thuthibari and Sonauli.
Additionally, intelligence teams will be monitoring all houses of worship near the border.
There will be up to 8,000 attendees at the consecration event.
Meanwhile, up to 8,000 people are anticipated during Ram Mandir’s consecration ceremony the following month.
Prominent figures such as Mukesh Ambani, Virat Kohli, Gautam Adani, Amitabh Bachchan, and Sachin Tendulkar are also in attendance.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will be in charge of putting on the highly anticipated event.
Senior lawmakers, right-wing figures, and relatives of the fifty kar sevaks who lost their lives in the Ram Temple movement in 1990 have also received invitations.
