Prashant Tamang, the winner of Indian Idol season 3 and Paatal Lok Season 2 actor, has reportedly died. The 43-year-old singer and actor was found dead Sunday at his residence in New Delhi, sources told North East Now. Though some reports claimed that Prashant Tamang died due to a cardiac arrest, an official confirmation on the same is awaited. Filmmaker Rajesh Ghatani confirmed Tamang’s death, the report said. According to reports, Tamang was declared dead at a hospital in Dwarka, New Delhi, on 11 January 2026. The former cop in the Kolkata police force starred in a number of Nepali films as a leading man and was recently seen in a significant role in Paatal Lok Season 2.
