Kennametal India revenue climbs on hard metal demand – News Air Insight

Industrial tool manufacturer Kennametal India posted higher revenue in the December quarter of FY26, driven by strong demand for hard metal and hard metal products.

Net income rose 9% to Rs 24 crore in the December quarter of FY26 from a year earlier. Revenue increased 16% to Rs 334 crore, compared to Rs 287 crore in the year ago period.

Hard metal and hard metal products generated Rs 290 crore in revenue, up from Rs 246 crore in the same period last year, followed by machine solutions.

The company’s diversified portfolio and customer-centric approach helped drive results, the company said in a statement.

Expenses climbed 16% to Rs 301 crore in December quarter of FY26 from Rs 258 crore a year earlier, led by cost of materials consumed at Rs 99 crore from Rs 81 crore, alongside higher purchase of stock in trade and employee benefits expenses.


The stock closed at Rs 2,140 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday.

The company said it remains focused on advancing manufacturing excellence, expanding market presence and delivering shareholder value as part of its long-term growth strategy.
