Shares of Granules India Ltd.(up 3.16 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 2.54 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.29 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 1.96 per cent) and J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.89 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent), Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.57 per cent up at 21480.5.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 88.56 points at 24666.9, while the BSE Sensex stood up 182.34 points at 81330.56.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 ended in the green, while 12 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Tata Steel and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Kanpur Plastip, Stampede Cap(DVR), Fusion Micro Finance(PP), Authum Investment and SBFC Finance hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Raymond, Godha Cabcon & Insul, Career Point, Aether Industries and Jai Balaji Inds hit their fresh 52-week lows.
