Hero MotoCorp shares rise after reporting 8% YoY growth in September sales – News Air Insight

Shares of Hero MotoCorp rose 1.4% to their day’s high of Rs 5,507.10 on the BSE on Friday, October 3, after the company reported an 8% year-on-year increase in sales, dispatching 6,87,220 units in September 2025, compared to 6,37,050 units in the same month last year.

The company also marked a major production milestone by becoming the first Indian manufacturer to surpass the 125 million cumulative two-wheeler production mark.

According to data shared by the company, VAHAN registrations stood at 3,23,230 units, reflecting a 19% annual growth, as Hero MotoCorp entered the festive season with strong demand momentum.

The company attributed the performance to a combination of festive demand, GST benefits on small vehicles, and strategic product launches.

The company has launched 12 new or refreshed models since the last festive season, including key models such as the Hunk 125R, Hunk 160, and HR Deluxe, contributing to sustained demand. The global business also saw strong traction, with the company posting its highest-ever Q2 international dispatches of 1,11,584 units, including a 94.8% YoY rise in overseas sales for September to 39,638 units.


Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle (EV) arm, VIDA, also registered momentum, with 12,736 VAHAN registrations for its new VIDA VX2 EVOOTER, marking a sharp rise in market share from 4.7% to 12.2% over the past year. The EV contribution added to overall volume and signaled growing consumer acceptance of the brand’s electric offerings.Strong dealership footfalls, which more than doubled from the previous festive season, also contributed to the improved performance.The company recorded 11.3% growth in Q2 FY26 overall, supported by its broadened product portfolio and expansion into new segments.

The shares of Hero MotoCorp closed 0.8% lower at Rs 5,429.50 on the BSE on Wednesday.
