Alongside this, the bank’s average advances under management stood at Rs 27.95 lakh crore, up 9% from Rs 25.64 lakh crore in the year-ago period.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the average deposits grew by 2% from Rs 26.58 lakh crore in the June 2025 quarter, while average advances rose by 1.9% from Rs 27.42 lakh crore.
The bank’s period-end figures also reflected a similar upward trajectory. Deposits as of September 30, 2025, stood at Rs 28.01 lakh crore, marking a 12.1% increase over Rs 25 lakh crore as of September 30, 2024, and a 1.4% growth over Rs 27.64 lakh crore as of June 30, 2025.
Period-end advances under management reached Rs 28.69 lakh crore, registering an 8.9% year-on-year increase and a 3.1% sequential growth.
Gross advances at period end were Rs 27.69 lakh crore, a growth of 9.9% from Rs 25.19 lakh crore in the corresponding quarter last year.In terms of deposit composition, HDFC Bank’s average CASA (Current Account and Savings Account) deposits for Q2FY26 rose by 8.5% year-on-year to Rs 8.77 lakh crore.Average time deposits grew by 18.6% to Rs 18.36 lakh crore. On a period-end basis, CASA deposits increased by 7.4% to Rs 9.5 lakh crore, and time deposits rose by 14.6% to Rs 18.52 lakh crore as of September 30, 2025.
On Friday, the shares of HDFC Bank closed flat at Rs 964.75 on the BSE.
