"Financial terrorism": Congress criticizes the administration over bank account and tax issues
Just months before the general election, the Congress charged that the administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was engaging in “financial terrorism” and trying to “cripple” its main opposition.
According to reports, the party has been asked to pay a “unprecedented” sum of Rs. 210 crore by the Income Tax Department, which cited errors in its financial year 2017–18 returns.
Congress leader Ajay Maken stated, “The government knows we are right… we will get our money back… by then, the elections will be over,” during a press conference on Thursday.

For what reason does this story matter?
Last week, charge authorities froze the Congress’ principal financial balances, yet these were rapidly thawed by the Personal Duty Investigative Court (ITAT), which started hearing the case on Wednesday.
Maken asserted on Wednesday that charge authorities pulled out Rs. 65 crore from the records worked by the primary party, as well as the understudy and youth wings, notwithstanding the forthcoming allure at the ITAT.
In the midst of the column, the Congress has blamed the Middle for “killing vote based system.”

‘Procedures started a long time before broad decisions’
As per the Congress, the I-T Office raised worries about its government forms for 2017-18.
Authorities expressed that a piece of complete willful commitments for the period surpassed the Rs. 2,000 money limit.
The Congress scrutinized the reasoning behind the all out interest of “Rs.210 crore for an infringement (regardless of whether valid for) just Rs. 4.49 lakhs?”
The party featured the procedures were started only weeks before the dates for the overall races will be declared.

Brokers constrained
Focus forced investors to move cash: Congress
Developing Wednesday’s case, the Congress said that the Middle hosted constrained their get-together’s investors to move around Rs. 65.89 crore from their stores.
The assets were removed from a State Bank of India accounts oversaw by the Adolescent Congress, Public Understudies’ Association of India, and three others worked by the Congress.
“Not at all like the BJP, this is cash contributed by laborers of the Congress, the participation expenses of the Indian Youth Congress, and NSUI understudies,” the party said.

Focus shook by Gandhi’s yatra: Ramesh
At Thursday’s press meeting, Congress pioneer Jairam Ramesh hit out at the Middle over the “monetary illegal intimidation.”
He claimed that the public authority was taking part in such strategies as it was shaken by Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra” and the “Delhi Chalo” ranchers’ dissent.
“This kind of low-level assault has never occurred ever. We will battle it out,” he added.
