Farmers' protest: A second round of discussions will be held by the government
Union Minister of Agriculture Arjun Munda declared on Sunday that the Center was prepared to engage in talks with farmer unions while keeping a “open mind.”
Farmer unions have announced that they will postpone their protest march to Delhi till after the results of their second round of negotiations with the government on Monday.
On Monday, Munda, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, and State Minister Nityanand Rai will meet with the Chandigarh farmers who are protesting.

Why is this story important?
Over two years after their 2021 dissent against three currently revoked ranch regulations, ranchers are again compromising the public authority to get back to Delhi over their requests.
They are requesting a regulation ensuring a base help value (MSP) for their yields.
In addition, farmers want the Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations implemented, farm debt forgiveness, and pensions for farmers and farm workers, among other things.

There may be conflicts between the two sides: Munda
Addressing The Indian Express, Munda said there may be conflicts between the public authority’s point of view and ranchers’ requests.
Notwithstanding, he stayed hopeful about tracking down an answer through discourse with “care and tolerance.”
He expressed, “How much could we at any point do, and what will be in light of a legitimate concern for ranchers, an answer must found by sit together.”
A legal guarantee of a minimum support price for all crops is farmers’ primary demand.

In preparation for the protest on Tuesday, nearly one million farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh will march to Delhi.
These ranchers having a place with the Samyukt Kisan Morcha-Non Political (SKM-NP) are requesting ensured MSPs for their produce.
Last Thursday, their most memorable round of talks with the Association government on this request was held, yet it fizzled.
In the meantime, on February 16, the original SKM group and Central Trade Unions (CTU) announced a rural and industrial strike with similar demands.

Focus has reported MSPs for 22 yields
Subsequent to pulling out three antagonistic homestead regulations in 2021, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP’s) focal government declared MSPs for 22 ordered crops.
The Center also set up a committee to look into how to make MSPs more “effective and transparent” in July 2022.
The board, led by previous Horticulture Secretary Sanjay Agrawal, up to this point led six principal gatherings and 31 sub-bunch gatherings/studios. Be that as it may, it is yet to present a report.
Ranchers have required a legitimate MSP ensure in view of the Swaminathan Commission’s C2+50% Equation.
