In a striking turn of events, as many as 227 smallcap companies delivered a robust profit growth of over 50% in the June quarter compared to the same period last year. However, since the beginning of July, the BSE Smallcap index has declined by 1.68%. This modest drop in the broader index, however, conceals strong rallies in several individual stocks that have significantly outperformed.
Nearly half of the high-growth pack managed to deliver positive returns, with about 78 of them clocking double-digit gains in less than three months. Among the star performers, 11 smallcap companies stood out, rewarding investors with staggering price gains ranging from 50% to as much as 105% between July and now.
