DMK claims federal authorities are tapping his phone ahead of the polls.
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), the ruling party in Tamil Nadu, has expressed alarm over suspected federal agency phone tapping.
The party has filed an official complaint with the chief election commissioner of the state, alleging that its leaders’ phones—including those of Lok Sabha candidates—as well as the phones of their friends and family members are being monitored.
Similar charges against the ruling DMK have been leveled by All India’s Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), the principal opposition party in the state.
