Ramesh claims that during the 51-minute speech, PM Modi was shown 73 times and Gandhi only six times on Sansad TV, India’s only legislative channel.
Notably, the opposition claimed earlier as well that the TV channel gives preference to the government over its presenters.
For what reason does this story matter?
Sent off on September 15, 2021, Sansad TV blended Lok Sabha TV (LSTV) and Rajya Sabha TV (RSTV) into one devoted channel.
It communicates real time procedures from the two Places of Parliament and intends to “unbiasedly exhibit the different features of a majority rules system,” as per a Lok Sabha handbook.
Notwithstanding, the resistance has every now and again asserted predisposition, guaranteeing the channel favors government seats during their addresses.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has kept up with that it has no control on the telecaster.

In a post on X, Ramesh said, “”Who was shown how often in the 51-minute President’s location?
Head of the House Narendra Modi: multiple times
Head of Resistance Rahul Gandhi: multiple times
Government: multiple times
Resistance: multiple times.”
“Sansad television is for showing the procedures of the House, not for the self-absorption of camerajeevi,” he added.
Resistance pioneer’s previous claims against Sansad television
In August 2023, after Congress pioneer Gandhi’s discourse on Manipur brutality, the resistance blamed Sansad television for zeroing in on Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for “71% of the time” during his discourse.
Afterward, Congress MPs kept in touch with the speaker, denouncing the telecaster’s “disgracefully sectarian way.”
Independently, Trinamool Congress MP Saket Gokhale likewise kept in touch with Sansad television’s President, asserting the station controls Rajya Sabha procedures by zeroing in on government seats and overlooking the resistance.
President’s most memorable location after development of new government
On Thursday, President Murmu tended to the two Places of Parliament interestingly since the eighteenth Lok Sabha was comprised.
Censuring the 1975 Crisis forced by then-State head Indira Gandhi, the President portrayed it as the “haziest part of direct attack” on the Constitution.
“My administration doesn’t think about the Constitution of India as a mechanism of administration; rather we are putting forth attempts to guarantee that our Constitution turns into a piece of public cognizance,” the President said.
Kharge’s reaction to President’s location
Answering the President’s location, Congress boss Mallikarjun Kharge said on X, “Paying attention to the President’s location composed by the Modi Govt, maybe Modi ji is in a ceaseless condition of forswearing! The command was against him…people…rejected his motto of “400 or more” and got the BJP far from the figure of 272.”
Congress pioneer Tariq Anwar said,”Several races have been held since Crisis in which the BJP was crushed. They have the same old thing to say.”
