“On the technical front, the Nifty has successfully reclaimed the 25,800 resistance level, with the next target seen around the 26,000–26,100 zone. While some consolidation may emerge on Thursday owing to the weekly expiry, the overall tone is expected to stay positive,” said Ajit Mishra – SVP, Research, Religare Broking.

Tata Steel reported a 272% jump in its consolidated Q2 net profit at Rs 3,101 crore versus Rs 833 crore in the year ago period. The profit after tax (PAT) is attributable to the owners of the company. The company’s revenue form operations in the quarter under review stood at Rs 58,689 crore, which was up 9% over Rs 53,904 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.
SpiceJet
Budget carrier SpiceJet widened its consolidated net losses in the September quarter to Rs 621 crore compared to the net loss of Rs 458 crore in the year ago period. The profit after tax (PAT) is attributable to the owners of the holding company. The company’s revenue form operations in the quarter under review stood at Rs 792 crore, which was down 13% over Rs 915 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.NTPC
