Markets extended their decline on Friday, with the Nifty slipping nearly 0.4% to close around 25,795. Persistent profit booking in heavyweights after the recent rally, coupled with declines in FMCG majors post-earnings, weighed on sentiment.

Analysts maintain a bullish view despite the ongoing corrective phase and suggest retaining a positive bias as long as Nifty holds above 25,600. “However, traders should remain selective, focusing on sectors showing relative strength, particularly large-cap and quality mid-cap stocks,” said Ajit Mishra – SVP, Research, Religare Broking.

In today’s trade, shares of LIC, Sobha, Ola Electric, Kotak Bank, RIL, Dr Reddy’s among others will be in focus due to various news developments and second quarter results.

Sobha

Realty firm Sobha has unsold inventories of Rs 13,000 crore in its existing projects and will launch more properties to tap rising housing demand, according to a senior company official. In a conference call with market analysts, Sobha MD Jagadish Nangineni said the company had an inventory of 10 million sqft in existing projects at the end of the latest September quarter.


JSW EnergyJSW Energy looks to operationalise its battery assembly plant in Pune, Maharashtra, in the third quarter of this financial year, a company official said. In an investor call, the company’s Joint Managing Director and CEO, Sharad Mahendra, also said that trial runs for green hydrogen project having a capacity of 3,800 tonnes per annum (TPA) at Vijayanagar are near complete and its commissioning is expected soon.Tata Technologies

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto said the Austrian Takeover Commission has approved its subsidiary’s acquisition of Pierer Mobility AG, the holding company of KTM AG. The commission ruled that Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV (BAIH), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Pune-based firm, is under no obligation to make a mandatory takeover bid to the shareholders of the Pierer Mobility AG.

LIC

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Saturday rejected a report published in The Washington Post, alleging that Indian officials had nudged the state-owned insurer to invest about $3.9 billion, or nearly Rs 34,200 crore, into Adani Group companies.

Waaree Energies

Waaree Energies announced securing three new solar module supply orders totalling 570 megawatt (MW) in the domestic market. Its arm Waaree Solar Americas has also secured a solar module supply order of 122 MW in the US from a developer and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, the company said in an exchange filing.

BEML

State-owned BEML said it has joined hands with Italy’s Tesmec, SPA to introduce surface miner equipment for mining operations in the country. Surface miner equipment refers to heavy machinery used in open-cast mining operation. This includes surface miners, which cut and crush rock and soil without drilling or blasting.

NTPC

NTPC said it will commence commercial operations of a 9.9 MW wind project in Gujarat from October 25. In a regulatory filing, NTPC said the commercial operation date (COD) of part capacity of 9.9 MW (wind) by a group company of its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy will be effective from October 25, 2025.

L&T

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured ‘large’ orders under its Minerals & Metals business from renowned industry players like Hindalco and Tata Steel. As per the company, a ‘large’ order implies order value between Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000.

Dr Reddy’s

An expert committee has cleared Hyderabad-based drug major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories’ proposal to manufacture and market generic versions of blockbuster weight loss and obesity drug semaglutide.

Ola Electric

Electric two-wheeler maker Ola Electric’s board has approved a proposal to raise up to Rs 1,500 crore through a mix of equity shares and convertible securities, the company said in a filing with the stock exchanges on Saturday.

Kotak Bank

Kotak Mahindra Bank reported a 2% year-on-year decline in its standalone net profit for the September quarter at Rs 3,253 crore, compared to Rs 3,344 crore in the year ago period. The net interest income (NII) for Q2FY26 increased to Rs 7,311 crore, up 4% YoY from Rs 7,020 crore in Q2FY25.

RIL

Reliance arm Reliance Intelligence incorporated Reliance Enterprise Intelligence In India, which will become a joint venture company as per amended agreement with Meta Platforms. REIL will be developing, marketing and distributing enterprise AI services.

NCC

NCC received LoA worth Rs 6,829 crore from Central Coalfields for extraction & transportation of Overburden (OB) & Coal at Amrapali OCP, Chandragupt Area in Jharkhand State.

Eclerx

Eclerx board has approved a buyback of up to 6.6 lakh shares worth Rs 300 crore at Rs 4,500 per share. The promoter group of the company intends not to participate in the proposed buyback.

Coforge

Indian IT services firm Coforge reported a better-than-expected 86% surge in second-quarter profit as client spending picked up across the sector. Consolidated net profit rose to Rs 376 crore in the quarter ended September 30, above analysts’ average expectation of Rs 371 crore, according to data compiled by LSEG.

Adani Energy Solutions, Bata India, Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company, Indian Oil

Shares of Adani Energy Solutions, Bata India, Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company and Indian Oil will be in focus as the companies will announce their second quarter results.
