Benchmark indices Nifty and Sensex were off to a start in the green on Monday, September 29, snapping its 6-day losing streak after gains in IT, oil & gas, realty and metal stocks helped regain momentum. On the flipside, a sharp drop in FMCG counters capped the upside in the morning. The S&P BSE Sensex gained 162 points or 0.2%, to open at 80,589, while the NSE Nifty 50 was up 75 points, or 0.3%, opening at 24,728.55.
