US stocks open higher as all eyes on Jerome Powell’s Jackson Hole speech – News Air Insight

Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Friday as investors awaited Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s Jackson Hole Symposium speech for insights into the interest-rate path.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 167.4 points, or 0.37%, at the open to 44952.88. The S&P 500 rose 14.4 points, or 0.23%, at the open to 6384.59, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 39.5 points, or 0.19%, to 21139.826 at the opening bell.
