The NSE Nifty50 index ended 225.1 points down at 24837.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 721.08 points at 81463.09.
Cipla Ltd.(up 3.0%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.15%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.43%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.98%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.67%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.42%) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.1%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
