Shares of Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.13 per cent) and Raymond Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 3.19 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.18 per cent) and Lodha Developers Ltd.(down 0.6 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.04 per cent down at 960.1.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 157.81 points at 25062.1, while the BSE Sensex stood down 542.47 points at 82184.17.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 ended in the green, while 35 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, Indian Energy Exchg, Eternal and PC Jeweller were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Gallantt Metal, Paradeep Phosphates, Borosil Renewables, Mangalore Chem and Bluspring Enterprises Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Shriram EPC(PP), Smartworks Coworking, Reliance Comm, SKIL Infrastructure and LCC Infotech hit their fresh 52-week lows.
