Babu’s acts, according to the TTD, which oversees the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Andhra Pradesh, were against its code of conduct.
The temple trust said in a formal statement on Tuesday that Babu behaved carelessly while working for a Hindu religious group.
TTD Takes Swift Disciplinary Action Against Employee for Code Violation
In a recent development, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken strict disciplinary action against one of its employees, Babu, following a detailed inquiry conducted by the Vigilance Department. The temple trust confirmed that the action was in full accordance with its internal rules and regulations.
“It is nothing but a violation of TTD norms,” the trust stated, emphasizing that the employee failed to uphold the code of conduct expected from someone working in a Hindu religious institution. His actions were termed as irresponsible and inappropriate, especially given the values and spiritual responsibilities tied to TTD’s identity.
This incident is part of a broader trend of strict policy enforcement by the TTD to preserve the sanctity and values of the temple body.
Previous Disciplinary Measures Reflect Ongoing Commitment
Earlier in February, TTD had initiated disciplinary proceedings against 18 employees, which included six teachers, for engaging in non-Hindu religious customs. This move came after clear instructions from TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, who reiterated that only individuals practicing Hinduism should be appointed to work in institutions managed by the temple trust.
These actions underline TTD’s continued vigilance and firm stance on upholding its religious and ethical standards. The organization has made it clear that employees are expected to embody and reflect the values of the institution both professionally and personally.
