NTPC Ltd.(down 1.54%), Kalpataru Projects International Ltd.(down 0.80%) and NHPC Ltd.(down 0.02%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 291.95 points up at 25263.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 960.09 points at 82856.88 at around 11:08AM.
Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 3.85%), Jio Financial Services Ltd.(up 3.09%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 3.07%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.55%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.53%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.39%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.3%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.28%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.18%) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.03%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.7%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.45%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.99%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 0.75%) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.1%) were trading in the red.
