NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Parmax Pharma(up 19.97%), Informed Tech(up 19.11%) and Pavna Industries(up 18.09%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 852.68 points down at 81555.49, while the 50-share index, NSE was 265.71 points down at 24846.7.
In the Nifty50 index, 4 stocks traded in the green, while 46 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Apollo Micro Systems, Prostarm Info System, Quality Power Electr, Sumeet Ind and Indosolar Ltd hit their fresh 52-week high, while Sangal Papers, Catvision Ltd, Pankaj Piyush, Navkar Builders and Sadhana Nitro touched their new 52-week low during the session.
