Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.98 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent) and Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 0.81 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.9 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.06 per cent at 21381.3 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 85.55 points at 24631.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 340.2 points at 81033.55.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red. Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, Suzlon Energy and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Deepak Fertilisers, Mangalore Chem, AXISCADES Engg Tech, Radico Khaitan and Authum Investment hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Capital Infra Trust, Osia Hyper Retail, Gujarat Lease, Ebixcash World Money and Rajoo Engineers hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
