Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 2.51 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 0.6 per cent), Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(up 0.6 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 0.58 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(up 0.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 2.34 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 1.58 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.2 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent) and Lupin Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.18 per cent at 21486.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 62.46 points at 24763.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 214.72 points at 81336.91.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red. Shares of ITC, Vodafone Idea, IFCI, Belrise Industries and Sagility India were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Apollo Micro Systems, Bharti Hexacom, Kavita Fabrics, ABB Power and Mahamaya Steel hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Orchid Pharma, Tantia Const, Borana Weaves, NIIT Learning System and Shree Ram Proteins hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
