NEW DELHI: BEL(Rs. 3343.91 crore), Dixon Tech(Rs. 3111.29 crore), BSE(Rs. 2037.67 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 1722.49 crore), HAL(Rs. 1720.12 crore), Cochin Shipyard(Rs. 1694.51 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1460.56 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 1246.07 crore), JK Tyre(Rs. 1185.72 crore) and Eternal(Rs. 1074.40 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 129.55 points up at 24813.45, while BSE Sensex rose 410.19 points to 81596.63.
In the Nifty index, Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 5.28 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.86 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.70 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.58 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.90 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
