NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Hari Govind Int(57.47%), Parshva Enterprises(20.00%), Addi Industries(20.00%), AB Infrabuild(19.99%), Welcast Steels(19.99%), KG Petrochem(19.95%) and Tata Teleservices(18.62%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 410.19 points up at 81596.63, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 129.55 points up at 24813.45.
In the Nifty50 index, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Hari Govind Int, Addi Industries, AB Infrabuild, Banco Products and Yogi Infra Proj hit their fresh 52-week high, while Jamshri Realty, Lasa Supergenerics, Sybly Ind, California Soft(PP)and Shukra Bullions touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
