NEW DELHI: Cochin Shipyard(Rs. 370.77 crore), Edelweiss Financial(Rs. 206.42 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 179.30 crore), Protean eGov Techno(Rs. 177.16 crore), Newgen Software(Rs. 163.79 crore), HAL(Rs. 150.65 crore), BEL(Rs. 131.01 crore), DLF(Rs. 101.68 crore), Zensar Tech(Rs. 101.53 crore) and TCS(Rs. 97.13 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 261.55 points down at 24683.9, while BSE Sensex fell 872.98 points to 81186.44.
In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 1.35 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.72 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent) and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.43 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Eternal Ltd.(down 4.10 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 3.33 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 3.24 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 2.87 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 2.71 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
