The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 411.97 points down at 80334.81, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 140.61 points down at 24273.8.
In the Nifty50 index, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Amit Securities, Stampede Cap(DVR), Bonlon Industries, Shriram Pistons and Privi Speciality Chemicals hit their fresh 52-week high, while UTL Industries, Divyashakti Granites, Hilton Metal, RS Software and Eastcoast Steel touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
