NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 411.97 points down at 80334.81 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Captain Technocast(down 15.46 per cent), Emmessar Biotech(down 12.83 per cent), Remi Edelstahl(down 12.78 per cent), Ovobel Foods Ltd(down 12.22 per cent) and Aditya Ispat(down 10.79 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 140.61 points down at 24273.8.
On the BSE, UTL Industries, Divyashakti Granites, Hilton Metal, RS Software and Eastcoast Steel hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Amit Securities, Stampede Cap(DVR), Bonlon Industries, Shriram Pistons and Privi Speciality Chemicals touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
