Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 68.96 points to 24392.2 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as GI Engineering, Globe Textiles(India), AGS Transact Tech, Gujarat Lease and California Soft(PP), touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 16 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 34 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, M&M, Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors, Bharti Airtel and Nestle India were among top gainers, while Jio Financial Services, Cipla, Adani Ent., Adani Ports SEZ and Bajaj Finance traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 205.03 points down at 80591.81 at 10:14AM(IST). Traders were seen piling up positions in General, IT Enabled Services, Services, Tea / Coffee and Auto sectors, while selling was visible in Construction, Term Lending Institutions, Agro Processing, Tourism & Hospitality and Miscellaneous sectors.
