A dispute arises after a BJP leader claims that the roads will be as smooth as "Priyanka's cheeks."
Ramesh Bidhuri, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA candidate from Kalkaji in Delhi, has come under fire for a misogynistic remark he made regarding Congresswoman Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
If elected, Bidhuri promised to make his constituency’s roads “as smooth as Priyanka’s cheeks.”
Opposition parties have strongly criticized the statement, with the Congress Party labeling it “shameful” and “anti-woman.”

Congress, AAP censure Bidhuri’s comment
Congress representative Supriya Shrinate hammered Bidhuri’s remark, saying it showed an “monstrous” mentality toward ladies. “This is BJP’s genuine face,” she said.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) likewise hammered the BJP pioneer for his comments.
Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh asked where the security of ladies’ regard was with such pioneers, tweeting, “This is BJP’s competitor, pay attention to his language. This is BJP’s regard for ladies.”

Bidhuri safeguards his remark, refers to comparative past comment
Undeterred, Bidhuri remained by his explanation, refering to a comparative past comment by Lalu Prasad Yadav on Hema Malini.
He inquired as to why the Congress was irritated now and not then.
“Isn’t Hema Malini a lady? Hema Malini is infinitely better to Priyanka Gandhi, with regards to accomplishments throughout everyday life,” he told India Today.
Bidhuri is the BJP’s possibility for the impending Delhi Get together races. He will challenge against Delhi CM Atishi and Congress’ Alka Lamba in a three-manner fight.
