BJP fails to secure a majority, and two former coalition members emerge as kingmakers.
Results for each of the 543 Lok Sabha seats were released on Tuesday by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The opposition Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance put up a surprisingly strong fight, and the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) couldn’t live up to the hype.
The Congress won 99 seats, while the BJP got 240, just short of the 272 majority needed to win.
In the grand scheme of things, N Chandrababu Naidu of the Telugu Desam Party and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have emerged as “kingmakers.”

Naidu, Kumar to assume critical part in NDA
The TDP got 16 Lok Sabha seats, while Kumar’s Janata Dal (Joined together) won 12 seats in Andhra Pradesh and Bihar, separately.
Holding a consolidated all out of 28 seats, Naidu and Kumar are probably going to assume a urgent part in the BJP-drove NDA.
The two players have reaffirmed their obligation to the NDA and will take part in the collusion’s gathering planned for Wednesday.

INDIA coalition looking to draw in with Naidu, Kumar
In the interim, there were reports that the INDIA coalition is trying to draw in with Naidu and Kumar — both of whom were previous partners.
To review, Kumar was instrumental in framing the coalition and, surprisingly, facilitated the principal meeting of the resistance chiefs from the nation over. He quit the collusion in January and rejoined the decision NDA.
Independently, Naidu — prior piece of the Congress-drove Joined Moderate Collusion in 2019 — rejoined with the NDA in Spring.

Kumar, Yadav took same trip to Delhi
In the midst of this, there are reports that Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) pioneer and previous Bihar Delegate CM Tejashwi Yadav took a similar trip to Delhi on Wednesday.
Remarkably, the RJD is important for the resistance coalition, and Yadav recently filled in as Kumar’s appointee in the Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar.
Kumar and Yadav arrived at Delhi to go to the NDA and INDIA coalition gatherings separately, in the midst of the continuous course of shaping another administration at the Middle.

Kumar and Naidu’s well established political excursion
Kumar’s relationship with the BJP follows back to the mid-1990s when he — alongside veteran communist pioneer late George Fernandes — framed the Samata Party contrary to Lalu Prasad, then, at that point, Bihar’s CM.
This came as a reaction to Prasad’s prevailing presence in the Janata Dal — established by ex-PM VP Singh.
The union with the BJP — which represented from 1998 to 2004 — offered Kumar huge openness, permitting him to hold key portfolios like agribusiness, rail routes, and surface vehicle in the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s bureau.

Naidu’s TDP arises as second biggest party in administering NDA
In the mean time, Naidu’s TDP is the second-biggest party in the decision NDA collusion after the BJP.
Naidu’s political vocation hit a nadir on September 9, 2023 — when he was captured in the expertise improvement trick case by the decision YSR Congress Party government.
Naidu spent almost two months in Rajamahendravaram Focal Prison.
In any case, a break bail later made outright worked with Naidu’s delivery to plan for the 2024 surveys.
This permitted him to join the BJP-drove NDA partnership alongside the Janasena.
